I used to work as a technical editor for a major research university, helping faculty submit winning grant proposals. I can attest that this is basically true, at least in the academic world.
To be fair 'real' science have more and more adopted the modus operandi of the left side of that cartoon due to weak and frail egos and less and less effort seeming to be put into separating the chaff from the wheat during scientist's 'education'...
It used to be that a scientist that came up with a hypothesis did everything they could to disprove that hypothesis and only if they couldn't would they see it as something that may have some merit and warrant further study.
Now 'scientists' come up with a hypothesis and do everything they can to prove that hypothesis with frail egos often choosing to ignore things suggesting flaws or lack of merit to it.
Easy does not build strength and intelligence, somewhere along the line science as an institution lost sight of hard and difficult actually being good things and something to strive for...
So true. I've met many of those social scientists; they have infested every sector of academia. These are the control freaks the DS finagles into power positions because they can be remotely triggered easily and instantly into full out attack mode (like a rabid animal) on any chosen target that does not obey. And as time progresses, they eventually destroy everything they touch.
In 2016, HRC's campaign sent out survey after survey asking what you disliked and wanted changed; the purpose was to identify potential psycho candidates and their self-admitted triggers so that they could be placed into key power positions and easily controlled.
The cartoon on the right reminds me of the person who wanted D23 and Me to add more than XX and XY because their transgender (female to male) friend was told she was XX but he/she identified as XY.

Precisely what’s being taught and regurgitated mind the mindless masses.. BUT THEY’RE WAKING UP
This should be pinned on the bulletin board in EVERY classroom in America.
Looking at things like the climate change and Covid hoax, they're both the same nowadays.

Social science = what the grant was for

Don't forget "Disregard any and all actual evidence that goes against your hypothesis; replace with emotions/feelings"
