Leaders and dignitaries of the European Union, representatives of our NATO alliance, distinguished guests, we meet here at a moment of testing for Europe and the United States and for the international order that we have worked for generations to build. Throughout human history, societies have grappled with fundamental questions of how to organize themselves, the proper relationship between the individual and the state, the best means to resolve the inevitable conflicts between states.
And it was here in Europe, through centuries of struggle, through war and enlightenment, repression and revolution, that a particular set of ideals began to emerge, the belief that through conscience and free will, each of us has the right to live as we choose, the belief that power is derived from the consent of the governed and that laws and institutions should be established to protect that understanding.
And those ideas eventually inspired a band of colonialists across an ocean, and they wrote them into the founding documents that still guide America today, including the simple truth that all men, and women, are created equal.
But those ideals have also been tested, here in Europe and around the world. Those ideals have often been threatened by an older, more traditional view of power. This alternative vision argues that ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs, that order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign. Often this alternative vision roots itself in the notion that by virtue of race or faith or ethnicity, some are inherently superior to others and that individual identity must be defined by us versus them, or that national greatness must flow not by what people stand for, but what they are against.
A thought.. I see these corrections creating short “distractive” threads in so many posts..
posts that otherwise pertain to very important and impactive issues.. why are we doing this.. I know the difference between those spellings and the meaning of those differences.. it’s a busy life..Don’t have time to major in the minors at the expense of getting info out. Not at all worried about myself in this.. not gonna let any of you in on where I’ve buried my offense button and your not even close to exposing it.. worry more about distracting the very people we are trying to awaken, that are new to this site. Don’t you think our efforts and this site might be better served by eliminating these insignificant distractions??
It’s very hard for some to understand how small things to some are big things to others... the way to eliminate insignificant distractions is to not create them yourself, if you think they are a problem. If you think basic spelling is a “major in the minors” type scenario maybe that’s the problem? Maybe we all should take the things we write more seriously. I mean, the post was literally about how stupid they think we are... I would say this post specifically absolutely requires perfect spelling in all words, even the small ones. If you can’t appreciate the irony I am not sure what else I can say... but I will for sure NEVER forward a post or article that has basic misspelling in it and I lose respect for people when they forward them or write up something and expect people to forward them off to people who need to wake up. When someone gets defensive about it or writes up a whole diatribe about it not being important I further lose respect...
The reason I make jokes about it on posts is because it is very important so that the messages in the future do not get lost in those simple things and the people reading them can focus on the important things... I hope you think about your future messages that you are trying to portray, and consider everyone you are trying to reach in those messages, as they might be very important... for this message though, it’s old news and Obama has called us all stupid many many times... let’s focus on the laws he broke and continues to break!

The obscuring statement at the end basically said to the effect..."but none of what I just said is true". When you analyzed the speech in total, it became apparent that the obscuring reversal statement of the entire paragraph of thought he had just spoken was only a cover statement to obfuscate that the prior paragraph was his true belief.
In other words he told us honestly what he believed originally and threw on at the end a... But stuff I just said is not necessarily what I believe guys. And from there he let his supporter's confirmation bias negate the entire original paragraph of statements in their minds using the easy out of he just negated all the offensive counter-America statements he had just said.
I would strongly encourage whomever posted this small clip to go back to Obama's 2008 campaign speech where he stood between pillars resembling a Roman temple and talked as if he were a god come down to gift humanity with his presence.
That is where I distinctly recall these statements I Obama's speech.
That alone would make me want to question the entire speach? Remember what msn does to our president? Wouldn't surprise me if sheeple of the conservative side play the same game. Ill give benefit of the doubt until I know more context of why he said this sentence just so we can play fair.
