PSA: Do your research and don't jump into it. It can fuck you up if you aren't prepared.

Go slow. Do daily intermittent fasting to get your body on track. After sleep which hopefully is 8 hours start extending that overnight fast to 10 to 12 hours. After a few weeks creep up towards 16 hours.
A few months of this and you will be more than ready to try a longer stint.
