First an oil pipeline, now one of the largest meat processing plants in the United States. All statements about securing your assets and networks aside, anyone who cannot see this as a planned and coordinated attack on the very things the radical left and the environmentalists want to do away with is completely blind / ignorant / intentionally dishonest / complicit.
This headline is completely misleading. Here’s a quote from an earlier article on this topic.
Without commenting on operations at its plants, JBS said the incident may delay certain transactions with customers and suppliers.
This is another article trying to induce panic. The actual operation of the plants would not be impacted. The machinery is controlled by local hardware/software, not networked applications. Their corporate financial and inventory system is probably not directly impacted, but because it is accessed through the network they can’t use it, hence financial transactions being impacted. The question is how long will they be willing to operate without access to their finance and inventory system?
That’s the reason why you should always have a local supplier of meat and produce. And by local, I don’t mean Safeway, Albertsons or Kroeger. If you can hunt or fish, even better. Centralizing our food supply into a few huge manufacturers and producers was never a good idea! It’s too easy to disrupt the supply. But that was always the plan anyway.
3 weeks ago our local grocery store's beef prices around here doubled. This was 3 weeks ago. Then 1 week later they went right back to normal. hmmm. Maybe it's nothing, maybe something else happened that I wasn't aware of at that time. But just thought I'd mention it because our beef prices have been pretty steady for the past few years around here. Then out of nowhere, it doubled for one week. Weird.

Yeah, this is why GWP is second rate. The sensationalism compromises the good stories they do.
