That wasn’t the msm story. That’s the story that was being screamed all over by the actual vape users. The poster above was correct. It was vitamin E oil which is not something that can be vaped as it builds up on your lungs. The msm story was that it was the regular vape juice casing the deaths. When it was finally proven to actually be the black market thc oil the story was just dropped. It’s the event that started me digging into all of this, actually. I’m a heavy vape user myself and I am pretty skilled at making my own juice so I knew damn well that it was a web of lies.
Wrong, it was a pair of brothers in wisconsin who got busted running a massive THC cart empire who were using vitamin E oil as a liquidizer in their carts.
The company who made the liquidizer was marketing it as healthier because it contained vitamins not understanding that it would cause lipid pneumonia.
I don’t know if China was to blame for this. I remember there being some confusion because the affected carts were all pretty much the same brand. But that’s because they were cheap (empty) carts purchased from China. They weren’t necessarily filled in China. And just because the packaging said “dank vapes” or whatever didn’t make it a specific brand or pinpoint a specific manufacture. They could have had anything in them. Basically the real culprit was greed and stupidity and that is something that is spread across both the US and China.
Yeah, notice how quickly they tried to ban vaping at the national level? All the vape sections immediately wiped out from the shelves while the tobacco remained. Big tobacco doesn't like their market share being threatened, so they try to outlaw the competition or at least push regulation in which they would have the resources to accommodate dominating that market too.
A lot of these were tied to black market thc oil vapes that had had vitamin e oils and that was the fatal factor.

And where were these infected carts coming from?
Hint: the same country/agencies flooding our streets w fentanyl.
