Stop. Just stop. This is as goofy as the calls to abolish the IRS, or the Department of Education. Not gonna happen. Empire defends empire.

I agree, it is difficult but not impossible. You have pensions tied to tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of federal employees. They can be offered a buyout, reallocated to park ranger status, freeway trash pickers any number of solutions are possible. Or take away the funding apparatus - instead of “abolish the police” it will be “abolish the feds.” But we cannot allow them to turn wherever they end up into another secret police agency. History has a tendency to repeat itself.
