Same here.
One explanation I give is to illustrate that, aside from Afghanistan, we don’t really fight “boots on the ground” wars anymore.
Everything today resembles cold wars, with psy-ops, cyber attacks, spies and double agents.
It would be naive to think that a civil war, or a war with an enemy from within, would operate any differently.
For now.
Eventually, we'll have to pick up arms and fight physically.
I'm fine with this, though, for now.
I'd be interested if we ever have a war against a group of allied individuals rather than between countries.
