Yeah but that doesn't fit the post. Classically, a projection would take a small image and display and enlarge it on another surface. In essence creating a duplicate.

Words can have more than one definition.

the presentation or promotion of someone or something in a particular way. "the legal profession's projection of an image of altruism" a mental image viewed as reality.
