Sigh, unfortunately they have mine. I was given one as a gift one year. They keep bugging me to do questionnaires. I just ignore it.
You have to realize that after my grandparents passed, we discovered my grandfather was not my biological grandfather. It was a tough time and I was searching for answers that literally had been taken to the grave.
Mine too. Before I was awake. For me it was about understanding ancestry, I was working on a family tree at the time and I had actually connected with relatives I had not ever met.
Additionally with all of the new information coming out about predisposition to certain illnesses, I wanted to understand if there were things I could do earlier in my life to prevent some really bad illnesses later in life.
Little did I understand at the time I was actually helping others to target population control. I used to be such a naïve and trusting person believing that everyone got up in the morning with the desire to do good in the world. Now I feel almost foolish for having those thoughts most of my adult life.
My grandfather went to the grave without letting on that he had an entirely separate family from my grandmother/mom/aunt. I have possible aunts, uncles, cousins that I've never met and have no idea who they are. My cousin found this out. Answers are hard to come by in these situations - I feel for you.
You know what it’s really cool to get the background info and that’s how they market it to us. They’re sinister as hell and we just aren’t use to hiding everything and being suspicious of everyone’s motives. That’s what they count on when they create these really helpful tools (iPhone, laptop, smart watch, smart tv, Facebook, tic tock ….) that we learn to rely on as they quietly collect our data.
