IF... you were an elite and you wanted to cull a population, but a specific one.
You'd have to collect a lot of DNA. So, you find a way to do that. You sell it to the public in this glitzy cutesy package, "Hey, come find out your ancestry!"
NOW... if you were just an average person who found out about this ancestry company, and you already invested some thought into "Wow, isn't this idea so cool! I think I'll do it!" maybe you'd then say, "Oh, come on, you're saying this company is just a front to collect your DNA for nefarious reasons?"
See where I'm going with this?
Now, obviously, this isn't to say you should just assume every company has bad intentions, so you wouldn't go off of this thought process BY ITSELF. Otherwise literally every company is evil because MAYBE they are, and that would be the exact thing we get accused of when it comes to tinfoil hattery. But then you research more, and the picture starts to become clearer. 23 and me CEO and YouTube CEO (who censors info on the vax) are sisters... coincidence?
I look at it from a top down perspective.

Just my speculation, thinking out loud here.
Nope, very valid logic...
...until you research who owns or is on the board of the companies doing it. All benefit of the doubt arguments become a bit weak.
Research. There were a couple posts about this a year ago here.
Again, great critical thinking process that shows your analytical side.
