I've just gone looking for you, but to be honest the CDC data and stats make it incredibly difficult to decipher the stats needed. You would think they would have a total number from when this all started, of deaths purely from CV19 but if they do then I couldn't find it. When I looked for my own country's data last time, the number was incredibly small, which is why they had to record data of deaths WITH it rather than from it.
The "6% died FROM Covid" has always been a misuse of the stats. It was always about comorbidities and death certificates. There's no way to know with certainty, definitely not a year later, what the actual cause of death was.
Apparently, yes, you are. Among those ~6% with only Covid-19 on the death certificate, there may have been other factors involved in the death that weren't listed. Among the other ~94%, Covid-19 may not have actually been involved in the death. What the CDC says is the only thing that can be proven to be factually correct, and is entirely related to what is on the death certificates.
While I understand your point, I believe the information is still useful. Drawing the conclusion that the data is unreliable has additional repercussions. Questioning the system at all could be the Breakthrough a lost soul needs to begin moving into the light. What could the real numbers be? Is Cdc a trustworthy source? What are the ramifications if they are not? What are the real numbers?
Perhaps the conclusion is not to trust the numbers. For the brainwashed that could be a breakthrough moment we pray for.

I think I understand. The 5% is in itself faulty. Here is how Portugal handled it and they came up with a much lower statistic of .9%
