Yep lighting off fireworks and eating burgers
Unfortunately we can’t do fireworks anymore, not because we aren’t allowed to (we can do them right front of our house here), but because our two puppers are scared to death of them. Though lots of folks in our neighborhood still do them. Have to give our pups calming meds, not just on the 4th, but for days (well nights surrounding the 4th). Hate to see them scared, then see them on the meds. They aren’t themselves, you know? Our pups are family?
But will be hanging out with our family & our puppers at home barbecuing ????
All Patriots stay home and enjoy nice get together with family & friends! Stay safe frens!???
Last year my dog got so scared she shit liquid hate all over my dining room. Shes getting the meds this year.
Good idea pupmom! Hate to see them not themselves but rather they be knocked out and not shaking like a limb. And ours are big (over 100 lb) puppers, so there will be no hiding under beds for them.
It's PupMa'am! I do agree with you.
Keep your puppers safe
Bless them puppers ???
Always! They are family.
We premedicate our dog every 4th. After living in Hawaii, he’s permanently traumatized. Hawaiian’s take fireworks seriously on New Years. ???
Vets with PTSD also suffer on these nights. I myself am not a vet, but I do have anxiety and I really hate all the noise and explosions aspects of Independence Day, kind of like your poor puppers. It's great to celebrate our country and everything, but I usually have to just put on headphones for those nights to escape the noise. I sort of wish there was a different way we could celebrate independence Day here in America, between all the pets, vets, or people like me who the sounds really get to.
