Wise one, I finally realize that the only way I am to be a lot more patient with my spousal unit is to develop some kind of mental acuity slowdown…. Just enough where I can just ‘let go’ of the constant ridiculous questions that are not questions, just nod along and move on.
Remember, women don't need you to understand their problems, they need you to understand their feelings toward their problems.
Charles Kettering, the guy that invented the electric starter for automobiles said, "A problem well stated, is a problem half solved." What he forgot to say is, "This does not apply to women's issues.
With women, drawing lines around the problem, and finding a solution, is not the fix for them, it's drawing lines, defining how they feel, understanding their emotions, how they feel about the problem that they feel exist.
If you listen to a woman express their emotions toward a problem, and don't offer solutions, which don't exist, and don't look at their expressions from the standpoint of a solution to a problem, but help them reconcile their emotions, you will help them solve what they define as a problem, and they will feel the problem is solved.
I got good at this to the point that my wife would come home ever day, and say, "Okay, let me tell you what happened today." It happened like clockwork. Afterwards, she would go off happy.
After a couple weeks of this, finally one day she came in to unload her problem, or rather her emotions toward her problem, I said, "I'm tired of listening to this shit", fucking grow up lol." I just got tied of listening to what I classified as pure BITCHING.
Now she goes to her female friends to unload.
