Being fat has nothing to do with how much you eat. The average person fat, skinny or any size eats between 3 and 4 lbs of food a day. This is the dirty secret that the industry doesn't want us to think about. They keep pushing diets meaning cutting back on the quantity of food you eat. this way you are always fighting your fat with willpower. When you stay fat you believe it is your fault not the food industry's fault.
3 to 4 lbs of food a day will keep your stomach satiated. If you eat 3-4 lbs of fruits and vegetables, whole grain you will not be able to maintain excess pounds. If you are interested in losing weight forget about diets, forget about looking at serving size. Focus on calories per pound. 1 lb of vegetables is about 100 calories. A pound of oil is about 4000 calories. 1 pound of process food can be 1100 and much higher.calories. Eat food as close to nature as possible. Fresh fruits and veggies. Frozen fruits and veggies. Whole grain rice, potatoes, beans have about 500 or so calories per pound. Salt sugar and fat is added to food to get us addicted. The food industry knows how addiction works. Phillip Morris the tobacco company learned how to addict people to cigarettes. They are now a food giant. Do you think they used what they learned to addict us to certain foods? The Great Awakening is learning to see past the nonsense. Big corporate media is not your friend. Big corporate food is not your friend. Processed foods became the big thing around the 80s-90s. Take a look at photos from before that time. you will notice that almost no one was overweight. Take a look at photos from today. You will notice just the reverse.
I do not want to insult anybody. I had to learn this for myself. I had allowed myself to get overweight to a point of obesity. I had high blood pressure pain in my feet sleep apnea. I was taking meds for this stuff.
After doing a lot of research I started putting this together. Change what you eat not how much you eat. Think of processed food as poison. Cutting back on poison is not the answer. We need to stop the poison.
i went on a "diet" of fruit and veggies. No additives, no salt, no fats no sugars except what was naturally in the foods. i stayed away from some foods like nuts which are high in calories. If I was Hungry I ate. I would have 4-5 meals a day.
So I was never Hungry. A simple motto. Don't be hungry, don't be stuffed.
I was losing 3 lbs a week without even trying.
to make a long story short I am no longer on any meds. I no longer have sleep apnea. My blood pressure averages around 110 over 70. No more swelling in my feet.
You don't have to eat like I was. I just tried it out and I was amazed how quickly things were getting better for me.
If this is something that interests you do a little research. what ever you want to eat figure out how many carioles per lb. The average guys need about 500-600 per lb to maintain their weight. Less and the weight will drop. More and the weight will go up.
I hope this helps someone. It's time to take back our freedom.
Ps I do not know how to add an image to a text post so I will add a picture in the comments below of a simple chart to show the calorie count per lb of foods.
Dietary fat is necessary for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
100% TRUTH. And cholesterol is absolutely vital for making protective hormones.
I am not saying anybody should do it the way I did. I am only saying that we are being lied to and that there is a way to heal ourselves on our own.
I am making clear, for the benefit of others then, that you were doing a cleansing fast by eating only plants.
I am only eating foods that are less than 600 carioles per pound with high nutritional content.. It just happens to be that plant based foods fit that criteria
453.592 grams/lb x 1cup raw milk/244 grams x 320 calories/1cup raw milk = 594.875 cal/lb
The problem is I don't like milk, lol But thanks for sharing that. If people started thinking about food in calories per pound knowing that we eat about 3-4lbs daily the mystery of losing weight could be almost eliminated. Of course there are people with health problems that would need a doctors care. In the past people just ate normal food. None of this highly process junk. They did not worry about being "on a diet" Granted I may have got into the weight loss a little more than I really needed to. but waking up every day no longer having pain in my joints made me want to continue even more. I did run into a situation where I went from high blood pressure and taken pills to having a bit of a problem getting dizzy until I realized my blood pressure had dropped quite a bit. I was still taken BP pills. Once I realized my blood pressure dropped I stopped taken the pills. I talked to my doctor and he agreed. Then I was able to drop all the pills I was taken.
I forgot to say that I would eat a few walnuts. Less than a handful with some fruit a few times a week. By no fats I was referring to adding extra oil or butter to make the food "taste better"
Adding butter is adding a superfood.
Butter, animal fats, fish oils, olive oil and coconut oil are all good for you in moderation (and essential for absorbing some vitamins). I eat a small piece of hard cheese each morning before taking my D3, K2, zinc and magnesium. I eat sardines preserved in olive oil.
Avoid "vegetable" (seed) oils like the plague.
Your hard cheese (and butter) has K2.
Sunflower oil can be ok in moderation if you are educated about it (small % of people).

Unrefined Sesame seed oil is great for those eating a nutritious diet.
Sesame oil can be grown and processed at home.

The food pyramid is a lie and you don't need 3 square meals. I've been doing intermittent fasting for about a month and already lost about 8-10 lbs and lowered my blood pressure. Even lost 2.5 inches on my waist.
This topic has been on my mind a lot lately. They have made it next to impossible to be healthy. Do you mind sharing what a typical day of meals looks like?
Oatmeal with banana in the morning. I have two servings which is one cup of oatmeal. 1.5 cups of water. 2.15 minutes in the microwave. I make a veggie soup. it is tomato based. tomato puree, tomato diced no salt added. Whatever frozen veggies I have on hand. I add some no salt spices , garlic, mrs dash things like that. I make enough for a few days at a time. I will have that soup with a microwaved potato or rice or whole grain pasta. I eat fruit during the day. Apples, grapes, frozen fruit. Once I got into the pattern everything was changing for me. Started feeling MUCH better.
There are other ways to do this but I am a simple guy. this work for me so I did not change it very much over the weeks. Granted this may not be the perfect way but for me it worked and still does.

Lower sodium is associated with higher mortality. Get real salt, avoid processed salt.

Thank you so much. It’s time to clean up!
It really all depends bc if you are insulin resistant then banana and oats are horrible. I really find success with intermittent fasting, low carb, low sugar. Everyone's body is definitely different
Like I said. this worked for me. Everybody is a little different. All I know is this. The food industry is lying to us. Or if not out and out lying they are misdirecting us.
I believe that to be true along with doctors being misinformed through pharmaceutical companies. Its amazing how they push drugs over helping people heal themselves. Sad world we live in
Oats are loaded with glyphosate. Even organic. ?

Combine with getting as much of your food as possible from a local farm, farmers market, or raised yourself.
There's a book titled "How We Got Fat" or something along those lines. The point of the book is that if you eat too little for your energy expenditure then you'll get fatter. In other words, CICO(calories in, calories out) isn't the ruling factor on why we gain or lose fat.
I really like your post. But I'm double checking your math. 600 cal x 150 lbs = 90,000 cal. ? Are you sure, pede?
I did not write that well. I was trying to say if we eat food that averages in the 500 to 600 calorie per pound range which would be 500 ~600 times 4 lbs of food. Which would equal 2000 to 2400 calories a day. Sorry for the confusion
oh I see? I was really on your page, nodding and everything, then I was like ... wait ???
Learning to control hunger is a biggie. I fasted a lot when i was losing weight...i knew I had plenty of energy reserves to burn off.
Well I guess I will not add a photo here. LOL. I just created a new post with the chart. Sorry about that.
I did the carnivore route, mixed with intermittent fasting. In the end I believe sugar is our enemy, there is no way to get there while eating sugar. After going carb free a lot of my inflammation issues went away, that is why I’m a proponent of carb free. Everyone is different but sugar is everyone’s enemy.
Nice post.
What doesn’t make sense about this is that if this whole calorie theory is true, then a person could just drink a couple of cups of oil each day and theoretically they would gain weight from that, except common sense would suggest that if a person drank nothing but olive oil all day, it would run right through them and they would actually lose weight. So what happened to those “calories”? Could anyone really imagine someone gaining 500 pounds just chugging cups of liquid oil?
Processed food is indeed, poison. Consume sparingly or better yet not at all. It's tough, but at least you don't have to fight hunger...you can literally eat as much good food as you can handle.
That is what I am seeing. It's not the amount of food you eat. It's what you eat. The food industry and Big Pharma live off of our suffering. We all need to wake up. The Great Awakening is going to shake the whole world to it's core
I absolutely agree that we consume too much. The average serving size compared to the 1960's has increased dramatically. There have also been quite a few detrimental things regarding our diets that we have been completely mislead about for decades. One is the whole idea that dietary fat is bad for us. Back in the 1960's the sugar industry paid off a group of Harvard scientists to put the blame on dietary fat as the cause for heart disease. This lead to the food industry removing fat from food which made it bland and unpalatable. The answer to this was add sugar to just about everything. In the 70's high fructose corn syrup came along and that saved manufacturers a boatload of money, now that is in everything. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2016/09/13/493739074/50-years-ago-sugar-industry-quietly-paid-scientists-to-point-blame-at-fat
Another big one is the Ancel Keys 7 country study. Which turns out was really a 22 country study but he cherry picked the data & manipulated his graph to show that dietary cholesterol was the cause for heart disease. We now know that dietary cholesterol is protective in nature. The best analogy I have heard is "blaming cholesterol for clogging an artery because it is present at the blockage is no different than blaming the fireman for starting the fire because he was at the scene." Really calcium build up is the #1 cause for almost all heart blockages and a Coronary calcium scan can tell you way in advance your chances of heart disease. That is why I cringe when I hear that an older person is told to take dietary calcium. When really they should be taking vitamin K2 and D3 along with magnesium. We should not have calcium floating around in our blood stream, and K2 helps put it back in our bones where it belongs. https://deniseminger.com/2011/12/22/the-truth-about-ancel-keys-weve-all-got-it-wrong/
I started with the keto diet myself but than I slowly transitioned into the carnivore diet. I can honestly say that once my body switched over from being in sugar/carb burning mode for so long and my gut microbiome adjusted to digesting only dead animals I had insane amounts of energy & never felt better in my entire life. I felt like I was always running a little warmer than usual but I ended up loosing about 45 lbs without working out once or counting a single calorie. Just ate till I was stuffed. Salt intake was important to keep up with since the kidney excrete a lot more salt when consuming protein/fat without carbs. When I started keto the best thing I did and recommend getting no matter what diet is a blood glucose meter and take a measurement an hour after eating different things and see what it does to your blood sugar. Also test yourself in the mornings while fasted. I was able to get my resting blood glucose down to around 73 MG/DL.
That brings me to the most important thing I can possibly think of that really determines how much weight you put on or lose. INSULIN. If you have too much insulin running through your bloodstream or are insulin resistant, you will never burn a single drop of fat from your body unless you are severely under eating. Insulin is the hormone that basically tells your body that you have plenty of energy available so don't go breaking down any fat for energy. The problem gets even worse when we have all of this insulin floating around and we keep consuming more, it just make more insulin and stores the excess energy as fat. Add a different type of energy source to that mix like protein/fat and there is no way that is getting used for energy and goes through a process and stored as fat. Its an endless cycle. Protein and Fat suppress the hormone Ghrelin which is what tells your brain your are satiated, while carbs/sugars (Glucose) do not which is why you can eat so much more fruit and veggies without feeling full than you can meat or dairy.
Sorry this is so long, More people need to know how our food industry and scientists have deceived us for decades and throw in a dif diet perspective but I got carried away and could go on forever. Its great that you found something that works for you so keep doing it, just keep an eye on the blood sugar and do some digging on Oxalates since you consume a lot of fruit and veggies. Dr. Sally Norton is very knowledgeable on the topic. https://sallyknorton.com/oxalate-science/oxalate-basics/
This thread proves how disconnected we have become from something as simple as eating.
