Kids 12 and under are not even supposed to take the vaccine. We're looking into options for our grandchildren. Calling different private schools to see if they demand masks. Might end up homeschooling them, if necessary.

"Masks should be worn indoors by all individuals (age 2 and older) who are not fully vaccinated. Consistent and correct mask use by people who are not fully vaccinated is especially important indoors and in crowded settings, when physical distancing cannot be maintained."
Thank you for mentioning. Yes! Sign up early! We have scholarships, and our state also has a voucher program, so we pay the equivalent of a car payment for private school. Worth every penny.
God bless
So happy the donation fund worked out for you!
Checked the local school board site and so far, masks are still optional. We'll see if that changes.
If anyone has a good homeschool program, I'd appreciate a link, just in case. Thanks!
Homeschool!!! No teacher will ever understand or care as much about your kid as you.
Go to HSLDA, Home School Legal Defense Association, their site has a lot of information for those who are new.
Most families I know who pull their kids from institutional inoctrinal day care (aka school) benefit from a year of "unschooling" to deprogram the lies and get in touch with their learning styles, teaching styles, interests, talents, families, nature and God.
Then, armed with an idea of best schedule, subjects of ease and challenge, you can go to Cathy Duffy reviews to check out different sorts of curricula. Note that first graders only need ONE hour per day of book learning, and this increases 15-20 min per day per year after that. The rest of the day can be enrichment, museums, teams, play, volunteering, deep dives into whatever topics interest them, play, life experience, libraries, play, nature exploration, etc.
Once a child has mastered a subject there is NO NEED for hours of repetitious boring homework and worksheets, only occasional review in loops later on.
There are great curricula out there, some with very Christian focus and others more secular, leaving the biblical education to you. From living history books (Sonlight/Bookshark, Charlotte Mason), practical readers (Abeka), great classical literature (Memoria Press), tofreestyle unit studies (Konos), there are choices that fit everyone, and students can direct some of their own learning paths, which gets them much more engaged. There are even curricula that bring back home ec, shop class and other electives long lost in the institutions. So any foreign languages you want, you can learn along with them, set up music or other lessons anytime during the day that works, take vacations whenever you want (sweet, sweet off-season discounts)... And don't forget CURSIVE!
Homeschool groups and co-ops form quickly, and depending where you are they may already be established, to provide expertise in subjects you'd like help with, companionship for the children, field trips, park outings and sports teams or clubs.
Yes it is! I've been "discussing" education options for my precious grand-babies - my oldest tells me it's none of my business - but, if granny "pays" for private school, or takes it upon herself to find a great home-school co-op - I believe I can persuade momma to keep the kids from wearing masks and going into indoctrination centers! God Bless!!!!
Pray and persevere, find an online homeschool conference and sit with your grandkids' mom's on them, especially the talks for newbies and the uncertain- usually titled something like "You can do this!". There are some great speakers who articulate the reasons and motivations very well.
Also send them links to articles on the HSLDA website.
Masks are harmful and provide zero benefit. Period.
Best of luck to your family. This state mandated crap is bad. This is still America. Homeschooling is a better option if you want those grandchildren to be good people...and safe from the vile attempts to experiment on children with this so called vaccine. Rebreathing your own air can not be good for anyone. Young children aren't going to learn to speak well or read facial expressions essential to communicating.
Good points. I have adult kids now but wouldn't consider public schools the way they are now. Too anti-parent, anti-religion, trained to conform and not ask questions.
All due respect, there is very VERY little beneficial socialization at institutional school. Sit down, shut up, ignorant peer pressure, drugs, early sexualization, rampant bullying... Also serious studies show that learning and development work best when kids are in MULTI-AGE groups, not same-age groups. So that the old one-room schoolhouse was actually best for them!
All the socialization needed and best for them can be done in real life, without the artificial classroom setup of power-tripping teachers of worsening quality who stifle independent thought and expression, unless you plan on your children being set up to work for abusive power-tripping bosses in soulless offices or manufacturing lines?
I hope all of you are understanding why some of us were so vehemently against wearing a mask from the very beginning. Their was a slim chance we could have avoided all this if everyone would have just "got it" and told these people to fuck off.
We the people don't know what the long term affects of masking are having on the psychological state of people especially younger people.
You can bet your ass the deep state / cabal does know, and that it cannot be good for the rest of humanity.
In my opinion it dehumanizes the people around you, and may leave you without empathy. In short it could create more psychopaths, sociopaths, and just dysfunctional people in general.
This is not a road we want to be herded down.
Masked people all seem like the same person to me, and one that I hate.
Adding this comment because I’m just beginning this search for my children as well - looking to see what I might learn from others here.
Just do it!
Public school was designed by Humanists Dewey and Mann, with the express purpose, openly stated, of replacing church and family with government and state. Of preparing workers to inevitably merge with communism. Seriously. The degeneration of the institution has not been accidental, its removal of God, changing of history, dumbing-down of subjects, removal of critical and scientific thinking, all of it is a steady drive toward their goal of an ignorant, compliant populace.
The battle is for more than minds, it is honestly for SOULS.
I pull in excellent money and my husband about 60% of what I make. If it would be either of us, it should be him, and he won’t. There’s internal family turmoil to deal with, but we’ll get there. CRT, vaxx... all a mess. I’m secretly hoping that my company mandates vaxx for employment and I have a reason to leave and sue to bridge my pension as if I was 55.
I think about it more than I should.
Pulling your kids pulls their funding.
Yes, it does because if a child is absent, it's a mark against the school. They don't give a crap about why your child is out, they just care that money will be docked.
THIS. Even though taxes are collected from everyone whether or not they have children, they do not go to the kids' education, but to administration and indoctrination. Let them fight for crumbs, and let us fight for lower taxes.
