While my real-life friends have always been mostly conservative, I set up FB to be mostly family and some moms from my girls’ gymnastics teams ended up on, who are mostly conservative. Those moms who were not just faded away, muting but not un-friending. The rest are mostly family. Husband has huge family and since he is not on FB, I friended them all to keep in touch.
Funny enough, this family was divided once over the Eastern debacle. One uncle worked for management and 3 others worked for unions or affiliated airline businesses. It took years to mend those fences and here we are again. The uncle who was in management (and the only conservative) has since passed. The remaining 5 siblings are very liberal as are their spouses, despite some having other Cuban refugee in-laws now.
The most liberal of that generation love to taunt me. I rarely take the bait. When I do debate, I win, and they say “I am out of here.” Yet, they keep coming back to see what I am now prolifically posting. Our generation has maybe 3 conservative families out of the 16. I had one cousin unfriend me because I was “insensitive” about Covid. This is a generally get-along, low-key family but we being in the “QAnon cult” has done them in. We cannot discuss politics with my in-laws, which works well. MIL is not on social media and FIL probably spies on me using his wife’s old account but doesn’t say anything.
One other cousin (daughter of Cuban refugees) is conservative and occasionally posts. But as a newer widow, she has too many things on her plate. She is very religious, believes Trump will save us without buying into Q, and is one of my favorites on that side of the family. She taught me how to handle the liberal uncles - Ignore them. It’s your page!
So we are a typical divided family. My sister thinks I’m nuts, mother has woken up, father thinks I’m in a cult but he and wife are Trump supporters. I have partly woken her up by spending hours talking about Q in theme park lines (father can’t hear well so he missed out but knows of Q as we explained it at Thanksgiving.)
Out of about 60 liberals on my page that have all been a big part of my life at some point, not one person has admitted I am right yet!

Same here. The storm can't get here soon enough. I feel that's the only way they'll be able to see now
