That's why they want to stop teaching children math and replace it with CRT.
To be fair, the math they were teaching them was Common Core.
Probably meant to soften up their brains first.
Common Core …
So a liberal is at the bar drinking a cold Heineken, with mask on and social distances of course, and some woman (but nowadays who knows, the mask hides a lot) asks him a question…
“So what do you do?”
“I’m an educator”
“So, like a school teacher?”
“No, that’s hate speech… we prefer Educator, because we educate, not teach the school”
“… ok, so what do you… educate?”
“Common Core”
“What?”
“COMMON. CORE”
“What is that?”
“It’s math.”
“So why didn’t you just say that?”
“Well because Math was perpetuated by the patriarchy and is favorable to white cisgender males”
…
That was a setup, you can’t drink a beer with a mask on. You silly head.
Ummm that’s probably a true story. I can’t keep up with the ridiculous mental gymnastics game the libs are playing. What a huge distraction too that forces everyone to lie which since we’ve been lied to all our lives and now we are “willingly” lying to protect entitled mental patients feelings (which are about 1-5% of the population), we are joining in and if we do this then there will be no truth! 😳 That’s another piece of their plan.
Spicey Pesto!!!
Before they called it Common Core, it was Fuzzy Math and Constructivist Math, Problem Based Math, etc. made particularly famous by a curriculum called Connected Mathematics. Fought this garbage for years. It makes administrators particularly angry when you pull out professional educators studies and articles by professors who prove it doesn’t work. Good times...
Yea, the problem with Common Core as I see it? It just teaches stuff that most people of average intelligence do subconsciously in their head when doing math on paper, but don't write down. It's beyond retarded to 'teach' that, because imo it can't be taught, because those of who do those mental calculations have been doing it instinctively since we started learning proper math.
Whole word has it's moments. English is a Mish mash of languages that have such a variety of phonetic and grammatical rules and norms, that it can be daunting.
Also, when you're teaching English as a second language, you have to focus on teaching language and content do there is a lot to catch students up on and no time to waste, especially since many have not only had subpar education systems, many haven't been in a school for years when they were.
I taught and tried to embed grammar lessons weaved throughout the big picture, especially because I often served multiple grade levels.
