Uhm, he wasn’t wrong (about the blacks in his own country) <—-EDIT
There I fixed it for user/purkiss80 who is trying to pretend in their comment below that I think that the president of South Africa was talking about African-Americans in the speech that he was giving to South Africans.
By the way “African-American culture in the 1980’s was all kind of fucked up and it’s only gotten worse”. So yeah if you’re going to accuse me of racism, use that statement.
You are right, the problem for USA (some Americans would call me racist for that) is promoting "black culture" is ALSO promoting those tribalism, hatred and killings. And maybe also promoting civil war in USA. Maybe citizens of Liberia in XIX century could call themselves "African Americans",but those black Americans living in USA for generations - what they have fucking common with Africa ?!!
Black Americans are NOT "african Americans". They are black Americans.Period. In short: they are AMERICANS,citizens of USA ! Claiming they are more "African" than American shall be recognised as RACIST INSULT by them.
Unfortunately old "racist" research about statistics of IQ in black population is maybe right, so it is probably why black Americans in majority don't see this.
Uhhhh, black people in the US are very tribalistic as well. Gangs anyone? They reinforce the rules of their culture/tribes ferociously, and if you cross them, you are an outsider forever.
Mind you, it's not Caribbean blacks (Jamaicans, Virgin Islanders, etc) we're talking about here. Blacks of African descent seem to have this built-in animosity, by and large.
Yeah when the president of South Africa says the word “blacks” in his South African accent, I figure that he is specifically referring to the blacks in South Africa.
If he was talking about the blacks in America, he would’ve warned us that the Democratic Party was in the end stage of destroying the African-American people and their culture.
