Most of the Framers had a good knowledge of Latin and Greek, and probably a working knowledge of Old English, and certainly the Middle English of Chaucer. They knew the etymology of our language. It's galling to be lectured about the 2nd Amendment by those who don't acknowledge that "regulated" in the 18th century meant "well run, reliable" as well as controlled, as the word is often used today. The temerity of those who would rewrite what was wrought is staggering. And they think deplorables are stupid. At least most of us recognize a work of genius.
Pretty much my point, but you have to keep in mind, these are people who assume if you don't live in a densely populated Urban zone, you must be a backwoods yokel who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.
Case in point: Kamala harris saying people living in rural communities not being able to photocopy their IDs, as though being a farmer/rancher or a towny means you're somehow stuck in the 1800s and can't buy a scanner/multifunction printer for $30 at walmart, much less understand how to use it. (Most likely she was appealing to her 'base' with this argument, but you get the point.)
