I live near San Antonio, but occasionally work in Austin. The first time I went up there, I could not believe the tents every where. And the trash. And when I saw a dude pull down his pants to poop in the meridian, I thought of San Francisco.
The traffic is absolutely horrible. I have visited a few times from North Texas and I am always amazed at how shitty the drivers are in Austin. I stay away from Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Yuck
Austin so called “leaders” wanted to keep it weird and never expanded or modernize roads. So another libtarb failure creates traffic nightmare and cars idling (air pollution)

Hopefully it won't always be that way. I lived in Austin in the 80s and it was the jewel of Texas. I read an opinion piece today that the liberals should go back to California bc Texas gonna Texas and that won't work out for the woke liberals (like the tech companies). We'll see.
Haven’t been there since 2013 it was getting there when we were there. We had a great conversation with a conservative tour lady at the State Capital she gave us a wonderful tour of the Texas Capital and was very candid about how they felt they were being over taken through the colleges. She knew then!
