And even searching generally on ddg brings up many articles saying these things were unsealed, and no links to actually see them.

I wonder if you get better results with Qwant. DDG is apparently controlled also.

I use Quant but its logo looks suspiciously like Chrome. There might be no good search engine and no good phone company.

Qwant also has a default "news feed" which is Operation Mockingbird. Tried it for a month and that shit starts appearing... no thanks.
