I just got shitlisted!

I’m a northern Virginia hospital after having knee replacement surgery this morning. Nurse comes in all sunshiny. Convo goes like this;

Nurse: “My friend, did you get your shot? Your Covid shot?” Me: “No” Nurse: “You didn’t get your Covid shot?” Me: “No” Nurse: “Do you plan to get your Covid shot?” Me: No Nurse (less sunshiny): “Ok well we have to ask.”

Not liking the “your” connected to shot and wondering if I should fall asleep..,,,

I just had a thought. You can tell the nurse that you can't afford to have a blood clot now with your bionic knee, so no "your Covid shot" for you!

Main complication of orthopedic procedures (or any condition with impaired mobility) is - drum roll - leg blood clots!
