For all those who were there on Jan 6th, looking back it was obvious that there were invisible strings pulling us back.
Trump gave a highly deflationary speech. Just as dour and predictable and in the mud as he could be without being booed.
Trump gave no direction or organization. My recollection was something to the effect of "go over there and tell them what you think". At this time, it felt to many of us highly likely that some of the electors would be sent back. There were court cases waiting to be heard and evidence that had not been presented. It was unconscionable to validate the electors.
Keep in mind that at this event we had no clue as to what to expect. There was no top level guidance. No planning outside the caravans. All those working class people just made their way to the epicenter of evil in our country as best they could.
I figured we'd ultimately just be shouting outside as the votes were counted and approved or disapproved.
As we walked over there, I swear there was music setup to diffuse the situation. It was the simplest but most effective crowd control I've ever seen deployed. Just loud, trashy, saccharine pop music! People started talking, dancing, hanging out, grabbing food, buying merch. It was like a little festival broke out in the middle of a fraudulent election being verified. If you ever find yourself needing to break up a crowd, break out a speaker and put on some classic hits and watch it work.
After people started nearing the Capitol, the Ashley Babbitt card was pulled. I apologize if it sounds callous but please bear in mind I just don't believe she's dead. I think that scene was pulled off by white hats to get Trump supporters out of there.
And lastly it's lost in the news but Trump did tell us to leave. It was an absolute punch in the gut at the time but absent any formal organization we just listened to the man. I hope it was the right decision. I'll always wonder if there was another version of the plan.
IMO Pence was either white hat all along or someone that had become compromised and was offered a chance to flip.
I think it was part of the plan. It was Eric's birthday. And there is video, a Twitter one where perhaps Don Jr was videoing the tiny birthday party. Apart from the Trump children gathering, Trump is standing away from them. He is holding a red folder. He is very deliberate in his holding it, and moving. Looking directly at the camera.
That was before his boring speech. During the very, very long wait---another thing Trump does not do--leave ppl hanging with a very, very long wait.

I really appreciate these discussions, trying to work out who intended what on the 6th Jan.
