A little fun fact that is still available on line. In the Feb of 2020 in a Northern region in Italy, a Mayor decieded they needed a "Hug a Chinese person" week because apparently some of the locals didn't like the influx of Chinese workers.
The upshot was, I'm sure you'll recall that outside of China Italy was allegedly the first and hardest hit within weeks.
