I guess that trip hubby wanted to take to visit friends in Nevada are off. Well to be honest I told him no I won't go because I refuse to wear a mask on the plane, lol. He was a little frustrated because he really wants to go, I said then go without me then. He said no I don't want to go if you don't go. I said then it will have to wait or ask the friends to come here to visit. It's a very long way if we drove, it would take probably a couple of days there and same back. But I will not budge on the mask wearing! I even canceled & walked out at a specialty doctor appointment because of the rude "thing" at the desk, so I canceled & walked out. It was to treat my Meniere's, that's how serious I am about not wearing a mask. Meniere's is a bitch that keeps on giving or should I say taking as eventually it will take my hearing, but before that it just fucks with you for ever.
btw, I read somewhere awhile ago (I can't recall) that Meniere's disease might be caused by bacterial, or maybe fungal within the ear canal. So perhaps research natural remedies to treat the ear specific to those organisms ... (e.g. colloidal silver, hydrogen peroxide, etc.).
Additionally, another potential cause may be an impingement of the cervical spine, which causes signal imbalances so the body tries to compensate (or overcompensate) so it feels like the world is spinning.
Could even be caused my super tight muscles around the traps neck and jaw, etc.
I have heard about those things. I do have a bulging disc in my neck (and several in lower back), but the new ENT that I'm seeing (no masks required in this office) he never mentioned it. He just put a steroid injection into my ear, yeah that was fun. He had to open my ear drum to get the shot into the area it needed to be in. The pop of him opening my ear drum was so loud my husband said "damn I heard that, that was loud". I told imagine how loud it was to me,lol. Also loved the whirl my head took while he was injecting the steroid. I also have Vestibular Migraines, which cause vertigo. Had that for over 15 yrs. Have to say the MD is worse, and episodes are a lot more frequent. The steroid shot has helped settle it down a bit, and haven't had an episode since getting it, but I still feel a little off sometimes, it's hard to describe. I will have to ask the doc about these other things you mentioned and see what he says. Oh and I have changed my diet a few months ago, low sodium, caffeine, and suger. I have lost like22 lbs already.
That ear pop sounding like a sonic boom (immense pressure build up), vestibular migraines and the steroid shot… sounds to me (no pun!) like chronic inflammation, which is causing a world of issues.
Next time you get your blood work done, talk to your doc about checking out your thyroid (even better if you do a 24 hour loading test), CRP (C reactive protein) - it’s an inflammation marker, kidney function, liver enzymes, vit-D to name a few.
I’d bet my fantasy goat farm your results will be ‘interesting’.
Then the question is what is causing your body to be so inflamed. That is the journey.
I highly suggest getting on a basic anti-inflammatory diet as well — remove all gluten/wheat products, no dairy (unless you have access to raw milk, goat is fantastic), processed sugar (which you’ve done), lower your carb load, much more greens and good meats. Plus basic supplementation.
The budging disc is an issue, but everything above can help ease symptoms.
I’ve had blood work done probably less than a year ago and everything came back normal. But I’m not sure what all my regular doc had tested. My ENT hasn’t check my blood.
And the diet you described is what my son told me to do also, he’s very health & fitness oriented and knows a lot about types of diets. He said cut out diary & white breads, rice, ect. And I have cut way back on all of it, not that I had a lot of diary before. I try not to have bread at all but when I do it’s maybe one slice cut in half for an egg sandwich (not often). And I have always loved bread since I was a kid, lol. So that was my big change. The only diary now is just some nondairy ice cream, which it being nondairy, I guess it wouldn’t be dairy, right? I’ve noticed before I knew for sure about the MD, that rice, potatoes & pasta causes me to get bloated, when it never did that to me before. So I mostly stay away from those items also. I may eat them on very limited occasions but only a tiny amount, maybe 3-4 bites if that. As for sugar I use local honey now or stevia, I only use about half a teaspoon of stevia in my oatmeal that I make myself for breakfast. And use honey in my herbal tea.
Edit to add.... I also take vitamin C, D & zinc everyday. Sometimes I’ll take vitamin E. I eat more fruit than I did before also.
I also from reg doc had a blood allergy test done, which of course said I wasn’t allergic to the things it checks for. I think the blood test isn’t a great way to test for allergies.

Hell yes, no budging on the mask!

Look into diet changes as well.
