Most people fall into the trap of thinking they have more time than they really have.
Anything in the environment that compromises the redox potential of the mitochondrial membrane will result in energy generation dysfunction over time, even if everything on the outside looks clean as a whistle. As that dysfunction accumulates in tissues, they get to a tipping point at which a disease manifests, which is shocking to most people. Someone seems so healthy, then cancer hits under 40 years old! Just unlucky right?
Get a ORP meter if you’d like to experiment and measure the redux potential of many things. Most marine fish stores have them. (also get a pocket pH meter as well)
Then try this…
Measure your drinking water. More than likely, probably the vast majority of the case, your water is quite oxidizing (positive ORP measurement). This is not good for you.
If you take some Ascorbic Acid (vit C) and mix it with Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda), you’ll see a reaction (carbon dioxide) and the resulting compound is now Sodium Ascorbate - an alkalized form of Vitamin C … now measure that with your ORP meter. It’ll be close to -180 (anti oxidant).
Drink that!
Now with this Knawlidge you can start to treat your drinking water with the appropriate salts, ensure it’s buffered, and it’s close to 0 or even better negative on the ORP reading.
Basilpesto, you are always a font of information, thank you!
If not good to drink water from the tap, which water is best to drink? I have to watch my sodium intake (you remember helping me with my Meniere’s). So if I can’t mix baking soda which is sodium, what do I drink? I drink water all day long, now I’m a bit concerned. How much baking soda, vitamin C & amount of water would you need to do this?
I know if you mix baking soda with some water and drink, it helps you if your having bad heartburn/reflux.
And yet the human body remains resilient. God made an amazing creation mirrored after Himself. What great lengths they take to poison and destroy it.

‘redox potential’ Is a new term for me hops down the bunny hole

Ooo even more new info. I like meters
