Go take a look at their website and tell me what their logo is...
It's the all seeing eye inside of a pyramid. We know what this symbol represents.
I do not have any holding on their platform because of this, and I think it was worth mentioning for anyone here who does use their services to look into it further and make your decision whether to stay or transfer out.
Hey. This is all bad info.
Is fidelity corrupt? Probably. All the banking institutions probably are.
Selling shares help hedgies cover. DONT SELL UNTIL AT YOUR FINAL PRICE!
Fidelity has been better than most. They haven’t lent out shares without asking. They’ve not restricted buying/selling. There IS a volatility warning. But, it doesn’t stop you from buying.
Most apes agree Fidelity has done alright so far compared to other brokers.
That being said, if you do wish to move somewhere else: Transfer, don’t sell.
Hold up, how is this bad info? I only mentioned what I've found about them and their logo and to be skeptical of them. Also, I never told anyone to sell, but TRANSFER if they feel the need to do so. This was just an insight I had and wanted to see what others thought. I mentioned selling in a post below if someone felt that they were going to miss the MOASS...and if they chose this route, make purchases on their new broker platform beforehand.
If you move your accounts, do you have to sell the stonks? Idk how any of this works, i must not be eating the right crayons
Yes, you would have to sell to move. GME is up 6% today and appears that the tend will continue for the rest of the day. What you can do is first join another platform and then sell and buy shares in increments to reduce your risk of missing a crash or spike (moon).
Not correct. You can move the whole account to Schwab for example. You would need to have an account with Schwab or set one up first.
Thank you for the correction. I heard people complaining about RH and Webull in the past with regard of not being able to transfer funds but I am thinking they were only talking about crypo since those platforms do not allow you to own actually coins. I know I can get funds to bank account within 2 - 3 business days.
No you can transfer shares directly between brokerages but it often takes at least a week and you can't sell during that time so better hope it doesn't MOASS during the transfer.
The best thing to do is to buy on another broker's platform and then sell the others if you feel that you will miss anything. I don't think the MOASS will happen within the next couple of days, so I feel their is ample time to make a transfer if need be.
selling on any platform is discouraged...transfer or just buy more.
