The flag is the wrong way round? I'm trying to work it out because if the image is reversed, then the seal on the right hand side would be wrong and it isn't? Am I seeing to much here?

Ok thanks for the answers, totally different than mine and our military. But I can understand why, interesting.
It's "flying against the wind" ie.. On a soldiers arm or military vehicles, it flies in the face of resistance... So the flag flies in opposite position as he/she moves forward.

Always faces FORWARD, not necessarily left. On a right shoulder patch, the Union is to the right.
