This really pisses me off. I don't want my kids wearing a mask all day. I want to file suit against Broward County Public Schools. I'm sure I could get other parents to join. I just don't know where to start or raise the money for it.
maybe you can move your kid (s) to a private school. I heard that any parent in Florida can request to have funds for their kids moved to a private school if the public school insists on masks. https://wusfnews.wusf.usf.edu/education/2021-08-06/florida-approves-school-vouchers-in-districts-requiring-masks
There needs to be space. With the school year starting on Monday, there is pretty much nowhere to send my kids. I still need to discuss this all with my wife... Though she's intentionally politically ignorant and buys into most of the propaganda.
it sucks for sure but I think we are watching the beginning of the end of state run schools.
so sorry you have to deal with this fren. gah i'd be livid. should not happen esp in FL. complete bullshit. can ya'll attend any meetings or protest at the very least.
I was thinking about standing outside of my son's school with a sign reading "Masks should be voluntary. Only peaceful defiance can stop this."
wow good going. it will def be a sweaty pain in the ass but what choice do we have at this point
Try starting a group on one of the alt social media platforms i.e.Gab, Getr or even telegram. Find a list of contacts from the electoral details that should be publicly available. Maybe you can get a list from the school, although I doubt that they will provide it, citing privacy. If you are really motivated, start knocking on doors. I don't recommend standing at the school gates and petitioning, however, you are too easy a target there.
Also, contact the DeSantis office. They need to know this is going on.
I'm composing an email to the Governor now.
