We have been down here. Now the current tactic seems to be announcing "emergency meetings" with maybe an hour's lead time before these meetings. Volusia County did this during the last School Board meeting, and there was hardly any parents in attendance, and not only that, but they weren't allowed to speak. So, the County School Board decided to make masks "voluntary," but ONLY IF the parent sends a nite to school with their child on the first day of school. And it HAS TO BE ON YHE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, otherwise that child will be forced to wear a mask for the year. No choice was given beyond this.
News broke about the meeting right before the 6:00 news cycle and even the news agencies were caught off guard by it.
This is the new tactic being used by these corrupt school boards.
That violates the public notice laws. It's beatable in court. I'd rather just drag the members out and tell them they're finished. They dont work her any more.
I'm sick and tired these people don't fear for their lives acting like tyrants. We are not putting enough pressure on any of them.
Or get together with your local pissed off parents and start group home schooling kids and watch their budget dwindle as they lose students. If we really are the majority and the system is being abused by the minority then this is the only way forward. You guys can pool together money for the teachers but in this day and age education is but a few clicks away.

They did a similar thing in Palm Beach County but they gave the superintendent the power to make the mandate.
It's not even that complicated. Just send the kiddos to school sans mask.
