I received freemason handshakes all of the time when I was working in Military Intelligence and I had no idea for several years.

It took reading a few books on the subject and listening to William Cooper's fantastic series on the subject to wake up.

Every time someone shook my hand like that I was like "What is this guy doing, can't he just shake hands normally?"

Nope. He can't. It's part of their ritual.
