I love Wendy Rogers, but since when is it our job to 'secure Afghanistan'? I'm glad we are out of there. We could have done a much better job of getting out, but I don't want to send another one of our soldiers there again.
I don’t think she’s actually pointing that out so much as it is his ineptitude. But I agree. These are nobody’s affairs but theirs alone. There’s a bigger front anyway.
We have an embassy there, that is meant to help secure the nation. Yes we have an obligation to the people we have there.
She didn't say that we need to help the people we have an obligation to. What she said was 'Secure Afghanistan' as in the entire country.

Again, I really like Wendy. I'm not saying we need to turn on her or anything. I'm just saying I want OUT of Afghanistan. We don't have to agree on everything.

I agree. I remember 20 years ago when we went in to Afghanistan, it was said by someone at the time that the Taliban would just wait us out. They know we cannot be there forever and when we leave they will just take it all back. They were right.
I don't think we should have left them all those tanks, helicopters, and humvees; that's taxpayer money down the drain.
