ever been in a very deep flood with a current? I have. You will have the doors and windows open in your house because of all the moisture, snakes and all kinds of things will get in.
The flood I went through, lifted cars, lifted graves out of the ground, pulled up the sewage into flood waters, it was the most disgusting thing I've ever been in. Neck deep waters with snakes, and shit all over, and old corpses floating everywhere. Doors and windows had to stay open because of the humidity and overall toxic environment, also the pressure of the waters causing damage. We were stuck there surviving on the top floor. Took days for the water to recede. It was horrible.
Their wording is probably just to get attention but yes things can and will float through homes in a dangerous flood.
I've been flooded a few times. If there's a current you open the doors so water can enter and leave without tearing down walls. The current can also take your doors away
floating in the flood waters.
I get that, but through their homes?!
I could see floating down the streets, but not in their homes kek kek.

Well you got me there, I've never been in a flood.
But I've also never seen where people say that the various stuff washing by in the flood as floating through their homes.
I'm not refuting this, I just found the wording odd is all.
