My company just had an all-staff meeting. Our office is in one of the few places with mask mandates still in place, so the CEO starts things off by reminding everyone to wear masks while in the building. I'd say a good portion of our staff has a rebellious streak and has not been following the mandate. They go on to other business before opening up for Q&A.
First question is about what to do if you see someone who is not wearing a mask despite the mandate. The head of HR points out that there's no legal requirement for the organization to remove the offender and basically says they're not going to bother. The CEO says that people have differences of opinion and reminds everyone to be cordial because we all have to work together.
So despite talking a big game about making sure that everyone follows the rules, they're not actually going to do anything to force compliance. For anyone else in a similar situation, know you don't have to give in. Most places don't want hassle from either law enforcement or employees. They'll talk tough to avoid running afoul of governing authorities, but they won't do anything to piss off their employees either.
My CEO literally quoted Biden and said "this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated"
lol. clown world
This Great Awakening to the Plandemic has been INCREDIBLE to point out the sheep to me. NPCs that just follow orders.
You have to understand that some companies have been threatened with cutoff of Federal funding or contracts if they don't have a vax or mask mandate in place for employees. The companies want to have (at least on paper) mandates for all employees to follow the latest Covid clown-show rules.
In practice, many companies are just neglecting to follow-through on it. The Federal government can't force a business in how to control or discipline (or not) it's own employees. In that case, employers may have rules about masking... but simply not enforce it.
Seems that this company is interested in giving the appearance of complying (at least officially), while not being motivated to doing anything to actually implement a policy other than creating written rules that people often don't follow.
Companies shouldn't be going along with any of the corrupt paperwork.
My boss: "there was an outbreak at the school. I rushed to get my kid vaccinated."
The little remaining respect that I had for him. Gone.
Gotta fight back against this stuff. Until we do, it will never stop.
Lots of stories on here of people banding together to fight the vax mandates. Saw one story yesterday where 3 people in an office of 10 said they were quitting when they announced a vax requirement. Boss caved and said nevermind, apologized profusely.
My work is pretty much the same. At the height of the hysteria, they mandated masks but very few actually complied. They know not to push bullshit in a place where the majority of workers are felons. There would be serious repercussions for trying to mandate the jab.
Sounds like they are doing what cautious businesses should. They are saying there is a policy to cover their ass, but not enforcing to not encroach on your rights.
If all stores and businesses did this rather than enforcement this whole thing would be over.
Not exactly. Becoming Havel's greengrocer still means paying lip service to the idea that the government is justified in doing this.
It is a step in the right direction and would lead to taking signs down when non compliance hit a good percentage. Of course its not ideal, but it beats enforcing the bullshit rules.
#CuckmasksOptional
Since mandates are not laws, you’re free to make your OWN mandate!
“I hereby mandate that I am not required to wear a mask.” Boom. Done.
My company has basically been ignoring it unless they are in the mood to fuck with you. I use a neck gaiter cuz they’re basically worthless and still let my nose out. As soon as they walk away it comes back off and when they see me again they don’t say anything. If you wear them down they stop giving a shit meaning they don’t really think they’re saving anyone they’re just tired of trying to make you comply.
I’ll keep that in mind for when my kid gets older 👍
Some companies brand masks as PPE and make it not optional. The answer; heavily modified masks that really meet only visual requirements.
