I admit I’m an idiot, but nonetheless my brain only heard “pHD” “health” “Oxford” and assumed this guy was hella qualified until I read down in the comments.

You are not an idiot. The person who posted this video should have watched it carefully and analyzed the speaker, the context and the content. Any potential problems should have been explained in the post title.
