I know prices are higher because Xiden and Co, but plenty of places have been jacking prices tryin to make up for last year. We’re gonna destroy our economy simply because people won’t pay outrageous prices. I’ve been to several diners and they are all charging nearly $4 for coffee now. Sorry local eateries, it’s beyond worth it now.

Went to a German restaurant yesterday.... $19 for a reuben sandwich with chips. Cheaper to go to Aldi and buy my own corned beef, saurkraut and 1000 island dressing and make 10 sandwiches for the cost of one.
Isn't that normal? :s
Man america had it good...I paid around $10usd/gallon for petrol yesterday (New Zealand)
Yes noticed price gouging. Problem is they are shooting themselves in the foot. People just wont pay those prices for the same reason they are raising them. Many of us were out of work too. We go to local diners to support small business but are being taken by the costs so we wont go back again. And your business goes under anyway.
I called to order a salad (small) 10 wings and fries...they said that will be $32.00... told them to cancel it. Called somewhere else.. $14.00! Its crazy
I remember 10 cent coffee, unlimited refills... those were the days!
I haven't eaten at a restaurant in nearly a year.
Cooking at home is easier than most people think, and is extremely cheap. For $30, I could make enough food to last most of the week at home.
So true. Used to eat out all the time for convenience. Saving so much more $ more by cooking at home and not being harassed.
Plus you can control the ingredients in home cooking. It's healthy and you know what's in it.
Diners and restaurants are a highly competitive business. This idea that restaurant owners are 'price gouging' is ridiculous.
Notice that nearly every restaurant has a 'help wanted' sign in the window.
They are competing with the Federal Government, because they are giving people free money and the CDC is (somehow?) telling their landlords they are not allowed to ask for rent or evict them.
If you own a restaurant you have to raise wages to compete with that.
Hang on pedes, once all the cafes diners and restaurants go out of business, the govt will distribute bread from their vacant buildings
Yep. A couple meals plus a few beers is $50+ now. Like going to the movies. Fuck eating out. Always sucks anyways
"Fuck eating out. Always sucks anyways"
Sounds like Kamala Harris. Has horrible feminine odor ... not even the sickest of the left would eat that. The constant sucking is how she gets ahead (no pun intended) in life.
lol. fuck eating out in 2 ways but only when it applies to her.
they did this to themselves
I could easily make eggs, bacon, grits and biscuits for 8-10 people at home for $30. That's crazy.
