I have a great friend who survived the Bosnian conflict. He put together a site called shtf.
In his talks he spoke of isolating because even people.who you thought were kind Nd awesome during peace would turn on yku and kill you for the little you had.
I had a coworker that lived through the Bosnian stuff. Crazy stories these guys have. Really opened my eyes to how fast your world can change. One day he was attending college, enjoying his early years with friends & girlfriend. Then over the course of a week family and friends started taking "vacations" to neighboring countries for "a week, maybe two". Then his city was being shelled and he had to gtfo. Next he was a refugee peeling potatoes for a German restaurant and didn't speak a lick of German.
Same here. Have had multiple siblings pop off at me along with coworkers who I thought were “friends”. One even suggested to executive leadership in our town hall that we should be mandating this. Will no longer talk to him unless absolutely necessary.
This is the moment in our country where we find out who would have sided with the Nazi's in 1930's Germany and who would have stood up to evil.
Unfortunately, a lot of people who you previously thought were pretty good people are going to disappoint you... including family members.

Yes, and now we know who can be trusted and who cannot.
Yep. This is it. Fear turns people in demons if they don't have the self knowledge to defend against it.
