facebook was a DARPA thingy called Lifelog. CIA was busted, think it was CIA, using it to spy on Citizens, Congress told them to desist. So they gave it to zuck... the rest is history.

And there is another lawsuit against facebook floating around from a software company that alleges facebook stole code from them too, and they claim they can prove it. They are seeking 1 Trillion in damages.
