Heres the issue with getting a trained medical persons advice... good luck finding one who hasnt been corrupted by the medical "profession".. try to find one who isnt scared of bucking the system... if you got tips.. please share..
Most of the docs willing or able are not part of the local preferred network of doctors. They are ostracized and demonized by the local hospitals as quacks. Thus, most insurance will be out of network and or non-preferred.
There is information out there to safely self dose as ivermectin isn’t inherently dangerous in the intended doses, however people do stupid shit all the time and any medication can be dangerous if taken outside of its intended dosing range. A bottle of Tylenol ingested all at once will kill you slowly and miserably a few days later. Ivermectin is no different. If you can’t calculate the recommended 0.2 mg/kg ivermectin dose, then find a trusted person to help you. To get your weight in kg, you have to divide your weight in lbs by 2.2. Thus, a 180lb person would weigh 81.8 kg. 0.2mg/kg= 0.2 x 81.8= 16.4mg. The 0.2mg/kg dose for a 180lb individual would be roughly 16mg.
This is not health advice. I don’t necessarily recommend using the vet products, but for those who do, please use caution and research appropriately regarding potential risks. Any medication can cause problems. Risk vs benefit is all medicine, so understand there are always risks. For most people, the dose turns out to be between 12 and 20mg. The horse paste is 1.87% and comes in a 6 gram tube. This means for every 1 gram of paste, there is 18.7mg of active drug, which is close to a typical dose for many. You get roughly 6 doses per tube. You can use a kitchen scale to measure out the 1 gram dose, or some preps have measurements on the tube. Taking extra will not help you, so please don’t.
The other option people are using is the injectable formulation. Do not inject it! Oral use of injectable products is common, especially when oral products are unavailable. Most ivermectin I have seen is 1% injection, or 10mg/ml. This means for every 1ml there is 10mg of drug. Some references show dosing in cc’s. A cc is the same as a ml. To use the example above, the dose would be 12 to 20mg typically, or 1.2ml to 2ml.
Please be careful out there. Use physicians and ivermectin tablets or pharmacy compounded products when you can to assure safety. If this isn’t an option, hopefully I have provided some guidance that will keep you safer if you choose to go another route. Also, most protocols I have seen show dosing on days 1 and 3, so no more than 2 doses in the first week. Thereafter, please consult other available references but do not take this shit daily. It has a long half life and continues to work even though you aren’t taking multiple doses.
No I get it... I've been taking duravet brand ivermectin for a little over a year and a half.. I do three notches on the syringe (I would send a foto but have no clue as how to insert a foto.. boomer-itus).. once a week... it's based on my body weight and the instructions for use... I originally started it as a boticide as I was a DOD contractor working overseas in areas where local food prep was always in question...
Sounds like you are all good. 👍 Healthcare is a total mess right now. I know many folks who are searching for a way out. We are all slaves to the fucking system. The hospitals have cannibalized the local physicians by buying up all the groups and pretty much have a total monopoly on healthcare. If you step out of line, you get fired or treated so poorly you eventually just move on.
If physicians are not in network, they are slowly squeezed out. Some have tried, but most fail. There are a few still around, but they had to modify their business model to almost be medical concierges.
It happens with other areas too. Big business has decimated mom and pop pharmacies. Medicare D reimbursement killed off many of them because profit margins got too low (thanks to Bush and Obama for that). Insurance and pharmacy benefit managers got rich. Kickbacks to congress for passing all the laws made them richer. Small pharmacies got squeezed by design. They would never bow to the system like the chains. Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc all just try to get you in the store to buy other shit. They took losses on prescription meds and don’t give 2 shits. Avoid these fucking places and support small business whenever you can.
Im hoping for a better world soon, but like I said, it’s a shit show right now.
As articulated Jules ..it is a mess... recent talk has surfaced of a concept I used to know by a different name but is now called... parallel structures.. something we need to consider now.. and in the future..
Or that costs a good bit. There's the ones that let you call in and get prescriptions, but I've heard the whole thing costs over $300+. That might be with the prescription, but still. To me, that's a lot of money.
