You Sir, are preaching to the choir. This young man is faced with making a decision where no matter what choice he makes there will be lifelong consequences. If you actually read my post, as opposed to letting your eyes roll over words, you would have ascertained that my position is that he should refuse the lethal injection. I am in agreement with your assertion that he should stand for his convictions, but you are not faced with the weight of his situation. We must all at some point make decisions where what we know we should do is coupled with significant personal cost. Just as you failed to infer the meaning of my statement, you wrongfully infer that myself or this young man are concerned with our reputation or positions
Then what’s the weight of your situation? Dishonorable discharge? That’s it? I thought you were gonna say they may rip his arms and legs off. Say no, see where it goes. Trust in God.
This is what my preacher discussed even yesterday. Riding the fence between God, and the world. Another word for it is lukewarm. Look into what Jesus says about lukewarm. Makes Him want to vomit. It disgusts Him. So, what do we do? Don’t ride the fence. Choose a side. Choose. The only consequences your afraid of are from man. If your heart says “ I don’t want to do this”. Then don’t. What can man take from you that God doesn’t own? Man can take your job, your reputation, your positions.... nothing. Man cannot take what God owns. I wish I could step in your sons place. Do what he really wants to do. Both of you would be proud of yourselves afterwards. No matter what happens. Because you didn’t fear the outcome. You didn’t fear them. You trust God to take care of you. So where will you stand soon now? Worried. Worried that the shot doesn’t kill him. Worried if he’ll have to get more. Afraid.
I hope you have no regrets in whatever happens, I truly do. God bless.
Yep read it thrice. I could repost my post if you need? So..what now?
Also did she take down the thread? Title is gone.
Edit. Ohh you mean you very top top comment. No I was responding to the one to had tagged. Yea I see. But my comment still stands I feel. What consequences.
