He’s obviously spent an insane amount of time researching, so hopefully he can at least be compensated somewhat for his time and effort. I doubt this is a huge money making operation for him, like Hunter Biden’s painting scam.
Sometimes a question is a question. Sometimes a question is an allegation in disguise. The question could be the allegation, 'Patel is making money and therefore can't be trusted.'
When the message can't be legitimately questioned, then attack the messenger.

He was a staffer for Nunez when spygate was breaking. He’s pretty well informed is my guess.
