Lots of flooding, last I heard 4 dead but that could rise some. A lot of looting apparently but we knew that was coming. Gonna be a while on restoring all the power so everyone still there has a long primitive camping experience ahead of them.
The flooding is extensive but the wind fields were not as wide spread as Katrina it seems. They are so low that a lot of that flooding may persist, the Gulf may well have permanently reclaimed some areas.
Rescues are still being made, searches and inspections are still being made, the extent of property damages may not be known for a while yet but certainly it will be great, hopefully no more deaths will be recorded.
They DON'T CARE because Biden admin would be on the block to help. - Saddest thing ever - these people need help to recover and MSM is hoping America will look the other way and let it go. Biden's admin is probably doing nothing as usual anyway.
I was wondering the same thing yesterday it was category 4 direct hit big news and then the after effects....nothing. Just power out and nothing else? Something is fishy.
National news is ignoring louisiana probably because Biden already looks bad, and remember louisiana has a democrat gov and new orleans has a democrat mayor who did not evacuate new orleans ahead of time. Also, what little coverage is mostly about new orleans even though so many other communities were impacted much worse than them. There is widespread power outages, flooding, and gas shortages. Follow the local news in the area to get any info about the aftermath. We are very lucky it wasn't another Katrina situation because it came very close to that again, on the anniversary no less.
I live in Livingston Parish. It is bad in a lot of areas. Power will be down in areas for close to a month. There is gas shortages due to many trying to run generators. Churches that can are cooking meals and passing out MREs. More flooding to come due to the rains from storm Ida flowing down river from the north.
No power. No traffic lights. Gasoline shortages. https://poweroutage.us/area/state/louisiana
if trump were president, they would be running coverage 24/7
And complaining that he only started getting assets in place two days before.

A lot of rebuilding ahead tho.

That is odd considering "the news" is usually all over natural disasters.
Probably only when they can blame the response if they against the incumbent. If they are incumbent’s side it will be crickets.

FEMA cant be bothered with a hurricane - they have camps to build for people who are well!
They may as well report on it, Biden can't possibly look any worse.
Biden's administration would free crocodiles from every zoo to help with the cleanup.
"No news on it because the media doesn't want Biden to look any worse."
How low can you go, Joe?
Not good, someone posted earlier this morning with details that things are dire.
It must be cuz its not on the news! Not even asking for supplies, water, no states going to help. NOTHING
I heard on radio news power will be out in some areas up to a month.

Last I heard a levy broke.

Its probably windy. Check the weather channel.
People are cleaning up mud because they live in a flood zone. Just like after every storm.
Where are the churches?
