Want to get completely rid of cancer? Genetic engineering is the only way.
Sure, a cure would be nice, but curing cancer for a person doesn't stop the genetic defect that caused it in the first place to be passed down to their children.
We sure need a lot of enlightment to use it properly, and surely theres going to be much tribulation to get to said enlightment
But to completely demonize it is extremely short-sighted
I'm not talking about gene therapy, I'm talking about genetic engineering, to completely eradicate the possibility of anyone ever developing any type of cancer, it would be a multi-generational effort.
Also it won't be in our lifetime, nor the next generation, maybe not even the one after that, but sometime in the distant future mankind will be doing this, I'm certain
