The number of beds in a hospital directly corresponds to the number of nurses and other staff that are available to service them. It is not a number of physical beds. Ever.

Exactly. And people seem to forget that these are FOR PROFIT businesses. Why would any business owner run an operation with an extreme amount of excess capacity, just in case? Doesn't happen...

Actually. It's the not for profit hospitals that are the worse. Have a outstanding bill at both and see which one uses more legal threats to obtain said debt.

Funny enough, while most hospitals are "non-profits", for profit hospitals give more charity healthcare
