I really liked it when sticky posts had a short moderator explanation why they are sticky.
I see too much nonsense that hasn't had the simplest fact checking done, people using that on other social media, to red pill family etc. and end up looking like fools.
For example this is fake news that almost had me forwarding it until I read further down. Really too long to check through and when someone does, your credibility takes a serious hit:

Never forward any news/memes without doing your own factchecking - whether its stickied or not does not matter. If we blindly forward anything, we are no different than the sheeple. Yes, it takes time, and effort. But it makes you better informed and your forwards are of high value for people down the line.
Truth WILL come out. Bursting bubbles bring morale down more than they initially raised it. Spreading misinfo and being proven wrong doesn't bring you back to zero but to negative level.
We are the side of TRUTH. Checking things should be our #1 priority. Stickying messages because they sound good is too lazy however busy you might be. Better choice is always to not sticky unless you have time to check it first.
In this context I disagree. This post HAD to be stickied, because it has very valuable information. if you jumped to conclusions about it and tried to share it without actually watching some of the video, that is your problem.
Exactly. When you do this, you dont care if something sticky needs a lot more inspection or not. That what we are here for.

If you're spreading misinfo then it's your own fault. This is supposed to be a research board. I do agree with the stickied comment being nice, but it shouldn't be necessary because our job is to dig not to play NPC and spread whatever we encounter.
