Any idea why Grahamnesty (RIP Rush) pursued this line of questioning? With hindsight and a Q-centric view, those questions sure sound heavier than they likely would have in my “sleeping” days.
Likely because he knew what was coming. This was a long game. Getting 3 appointments to SCOTUS to ensure that the Court couldn't be used to interfere. At the time of the hearing, this line of questioning was utterly bizarre. I remember watching it live thinking, wtf is he talking about. Although I was also quite impressed with Kavanaugh's ability to recall the cases and correctly answer on the spot... I have to wonder if he was prompted to expect those questions or if he might have even been privy to "the plan"
