All plants should be legal. This is LONG overdue. The medical benefits of a plant over pharma alone should have us all on board for not only legalization, but proper study and extraction of the good stuff.
You should definitely read a bit more into it. Is it capable of abuse? Certainly. So is alcohol. My cousin (a combat vet) uses it for PTSD that he gained via the war in AFG. It's the difference between a somewhat normal life and a nightmare for him. You can choose not to take it. That's the beauty of liberty. But it has very real very tangible medical benefits and falls squarely in the field where it should be your choice and not the governments especially if we're going to continue selling booze and tobacco.
I only support legalization if they make it ok for anyone to grow their own shit for their own personal use. It is nonsense otherwise. I should be allowed to do that NOW w/o the risk of federal prosecution, but we are all well aware of how corrupt everything is ... No need to rant about that :-) .
The way they seem to legalize it is no different than the way they "legalize" gambling (at least in states like PA) ... Only legal places to buy it are government sanctioned stores much like the only legal way to gamble is in government sanctioned casinos or lotteries. It give the government a virtual monopoly on sales. It's all liberal bullshit. Moreover, these kinds of restrictions breed corruption much like water on wood in your basement breeds black mold.
Weed is legal for medicinal use in PA. It seems if they go the full legalization route, it'll mean that you can only buy from the gubbamint stores they have set up now. I cannot support that ... It's only making the politicians rich and distorts the market value of it. Moreover, with the fucking ridiculous prices they charge, the black market still exists ... That breeds crime. Nobody wins except dickhead politicians. Sickening!
My state allow like 10 plants per house hold at different stages. So I think it's like 50 total. Not sure I don't grow. But it's a plant and the fact it is illegal is dumb.
They tried to do this last year before election but decided against it because it would make them look bad focusing on weed and not the fact people werent working.
I wish I could use it and still get a job I have been denied a plant because the feds say so for years.... At least lower it's classification it is def not as harmful as cocaine
I am Ag director at the largest outdoor collective in WA state, I love cannabis, it gave me a career but I am of the mind that it stay within the individual states to decide for themselves.

Trump should have done this before the election. The steal would not have been as convincing.
Agreed, but what a worthless CYA!
I am ambivalent about recreational marijuana, but this should never have been a federal issue. It is purely a state issue.
It's become a cover your ass issue. I agree. Dupont should never have had the power to get it made illegal in the first place.

I agree. They just suck at CYA these days.
