After several years of trade war crippling their country, they decided to attack their own tech industry shocking their stock value, attacked their extra-curricular/online education industry decimating its stock value, implement the three red lines rule which set the last nail in struggling Evergrande's coffin and they're refusing to help. All this after 2018 where they invited American financial institutions to invest in China and caught the scummiest.
So now all these financial institutions that have their balls on the cutting board in the US due to their leveraged naked short positions going wrong, are also in leveraged long positions in China which is now, seemingly intentionally, about to put itself through the biggest market correction in human history.
When we're done communism will be eradicated, and right now it looks like Xi is taking a MOAB right to its heart. What happens when the military takes over after China which launched a biological attack on the world? Step One is trade blockades aka removing 40% of China's GDP overnight, which will likely already be in the greatest depression by the time this happens.
What percentage of the Chinese population do you think it takes losing everything they have before they take down the CCP? Because they already started taking Evergrande exec's hostage, and that shit still hasn't touched the fan yet.

I believe this is when they sent riot police in to resolve, but next will be people getting kidnapped from home and that will only make the news cycle if they want it to. After that the blame will go onto party officials, which is where I think this is being steered. The CCP is locking funds to continue projects in the worst affected cities, but IMO that's to spread out the fire not put it out, because there's not enough funds - if they wanted to control it you'd concentrate it and send the army in not spread it out over 200 cities to cause general mass unrest, especially as other property developers are going to fail.
