If you need to wear a mask and keep six feet away from everyone else, why do they have to swab the back of your throat to test for this "disease?" Shouldn't you be able to sneeze up a load of it for them?

That was one of my first thoughts when I saw how the test was being done, it's common sense that if you need a mask to trap saliva or snot globs from going airborne, you should be able to test either body fluid for the virus. But what do I know? I went to public school and a state university.
