For context for those that are not Trekkies. I have been a trekkie ever since the first one was airing for the first time my mom wouldn't let me watch it because it was too racy, I did catch up in the reruns however.
I had 105 episodes of TNG on vhs. After my divorce in 1993 i funked out for about two months and watched every episode at least 10 times and lived on top ramen and armour chili.
I still have my TNG Disk Set Collection in my closet. I watched star trek every night at bed time for over 20 years. Now I can't watch my favorite show anymore because the fucking actors are little shits and that's all I see now. I don't even see Picard anymore, all I see is Patrick Stuart and I want to slap his smug face.
lol it's ok. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch any of the new Star Wars either other than the Mandelorian, I started watching one of the movies and it bored me to tears.
The five ST TV series throughout the late 80s through the early 2000s certainly becomes increasingly more woke...TNG and DS9 were least offensive in that respect. But nothing compares to the excremental Discovery from the mid-2010s...and everything that comes after.
Yeah I watched one episode of discovery, I didn't realize it had been four years already for that show, I have not watched anything new since then.
I liked DS9 I couldn't stand the Jadzea actor of all the bad acting on the show hers was the worst. Same for Voyager the Tom Paris actor was really bad but I thought Bellana's character was great. I wish they had done a better ending to the Kes story.
I will have to rewatch TNG, my favorite character is of course Q, I loved John Delancy on the shows. Unfortunately I will not watch the new shows and will miss out on that.

The only Star Trek series I haven't seen every episode of is the new ones. I watched one episode and was done.
Yep. Same.

It's trekker! REEEEEEEEEE!
Username checks out.
It's a woke perversion of Gene Roddenberry's work if you like it that's fine but I don't ree about anything.
Just being silly, don't mind me...
